Bowling Green couple arrested on drug charges
After a two-month investigation, Bowling Green-Warren County Drug Task Force detectives arrested a Bowling Green couple and seized more than one-quarter pound each of cocaine and crystal methamphetamine Wednesday.
Detectives executed a search warrant on the home of Billy R. Mitchell, 35, and his wife, Ariane M. Mitchell, 35, at 292 Audley Ave., according to a news release from the task force. Detectives found cocaine valued at $10,000 and meth valued at $12,000 inside the home, the release said.
“Various marijuana eatables along with evidence of a recent trip to Denver, two handguns, two sawed off shotguns, three vehicles and $1,224 in cash was seized,” the release said.
Billy Mitchell is charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (meth), two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, the release said.
Ariane Mitchell is charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (meth) and first-degree trafficking a controlled substance (cocaine), according to the release.
Both are lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bonds.
