Elizabethtown man arrested after police said they found 17 pounds of meth on Bardstown Road

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Elizabethtown man was arrested Friday after police said they found 17 pounds of crystal meth as well as cocaine, Oxycodone, marijuana and steroids on Bardstown Road just east of Elizabethtown.

The Hardin County Drug Enforcement Task Force said in a news release Monday that it executed a search warrant in the area Friday afternoon and arrested Marvin Brookins. The warrant resulted in the seizure of:

  • 17 pounds of crystal meth
  • 54 grams of cocaine
  • 16 Oxycodone pills
  • Marijuana
  • Steroids

Brookins was charged with:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense Cocaine
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Oxycodone
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of school
  • Possession Controlled substance, 2nd degree Anabolic Steroid
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The task force said Monday that more suspects are expected to be charged in connection to the investigation.
