RICHMOND, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Madison County AHIDTA Drug Task Force executed search warrants at two residences in Madison County, as part of an on-going investigation. As a result, the task force seized 1.6 pounds of heroin, approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine, 3.8 ounces of marijuana and eight Ecstasy tablets.

Suzanne A. Warford, 50 years old of Richmond, Tirell D. Matlock, 35 years old of Berea, Donald K. Chambers, 40 years old of Berea, and Martez L. Edwards' 32 years old of Detroit, MI, were arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in a Controlled Substance. They have been lodged at the Madison County Detention Center.

“This is the biggest heroin seizure since the inception of the Madison County AHIDTA task force in 2015,” said Task Force Director Rodney Tudor. "These arrests are the result of more than a year-long investigation, and a great example of the work the task force is doing. Drug cases like this are extremely complex, and require many hours of hard work by our investigators, who diligently strive to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking organizations operating within our community”.

The Madison County AHIDTA drug task force is comprised of the Kentucky State Police, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Richmond Police Department, Berea Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
