Greeneville, Tenn. - On June 26, 2023, following a four-day trial in the United States District Court at Greeneville, a jury convicted Terrance Lamont Hines, Jr., 41, of Kingsport, Tenn., of conspiring to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl resulting in death in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 846, 841(a)(1), (b)(1)(A) and 851; possession of 40 grams or more of fentanyl with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B), three counts of distribution of a quantity of fentanyl, in violation of 21 U.S.C.

On Monday, October 3, 2022, the AHIDTA Drug Related Death Task Force with assistance from Knoxville Police Department Special Operations Squad and Drug Interdiction Unit personnel executed a state search warrant at 1900 Dutch Valley Drive #23. The search warrant was obtained by Organized Crime Unit investigator Terry Pate as part of an ongoing investigation into the overdose deaths of three different individuals in Knoxville in the past few months.
